In an olive grove on the border between Drôme and Vaucluse, not far from the mighty Mont Ventoux, lies the Domaine La Gautière campsite. This small, quiet three-star campground has spacious touring pitches among the olive trees on a somewhat … sloping campsite site. Vineyards stretch out on the hills all around. The campground has a lovely outdoor pool and a petting zoo. Natural camping area The natural camping area of this small campsite is situated in an olive grove. Apart from the olive trees, there is no separation between the spacious pitches. There are twenty touring pitches and twelve permanent annual pitches at the campsite. They are located on slightly sloping terrain, so you have extra work to level your caravan or motorhome. You can get logs and rocks from the owner if needed. Refreshing outdoor pool Next to the main building, near the entrance to the campground, is a simple outdoor pool. It is open from mid-May to the end of September, but is not heated. The pool is beautifully landscaped, with a separate children's pool and surrounded by a narrow, tiled sun deck. Petting zoo The campground includes a small petting zoo and animal pasture with all kinds of adorable animals. There are goats, chickens, horses, donkeys, a sheep and an alpaca. Children are allowed to help take care of the animals and are allowed to ride them. Simple restaurant Most of the facilities at the campsite are open from early May to mid-September. Fresh bread and some groceries are available in the small store at the reception. The simple restaurant serves snacks and pizza. From the terrace you have a nice view over the surroundings.
